Privacy Policy

Overview

Mata is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your simulator sessions stay between your Mac and your connected devices. We don't have access to your simulator content or what you do with it.

Data We Collect

Data stored on your device only

  • Host connection details (IP address, port)
  • App preferences and settings
  • Simulator screenshots (stored locally)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it.

Data we may collect

  • Crash reports: Anonymous crash data to help us fix bugs (can be disabled in iOS settings).
  • Basic analytics: Anonymous usage statistics like app opens and feature usage (no personal data).

Streaming & Connectivity

Mata uses WebRTC for peer-to-peer streaming between your Mac host and your connected devices. Video and interaction data travel directly between your devices — they are not routed through our servers.

Third-Party Services

  • Apple: For App Store distribution and TestFlight beta testing

Data Security

  • All streaming connections use encrypted WebRTC channels
  • No simulator content is ever transmitted to our servers
  • Connection details are stored only on your device

Your Rights

You can:

  • Delete all app data by uninstalling the app
  • Disable crash reporting in iOS Settings
  • Request deletion of any server-side data by contacting us
